3D

ongoing project: Undark

Undark is a short, frame-by-frame 2D animated documentary. The project started as a semester project for university and is currently a work in progress.
My team members and I want to raise awareness about the story of the "Radium Girls." We are showing the typical workday of our young protagonist who suddenly finds herself in a dark space surrounded by glowing green dancers.
We use dance to symbolize the tragic fate of the workers. Our choreography expresses feelings of innocence and elegance, yet also hints at control and routine. In short, it's a danse macabre.

Here's the finished dance animation - with music made by Ki Schattauer.

I was in charge of choreographing and performing the dance - alongside my teammate Emily Lasthofer. After collecting enough footage, I rotoscoped the movement and drew the characters. I'm looking forward to sharing the completed version soon!

Personal Work

When I'm free and inspired, I enjoy digitally drawing my favourite characters, or coming up with my own. I always try to experiment with different art styles. I usually use Clip Studio Paint to do digital art. I have also used Photoshop, but my heart belongs to Clip Studio.
